Dissonance & Dissent is political ska-punk band from Lafayette, Indiana. Finding themselves in an ever shrinking scene/genre, the group tries to keep the spirit of punk, skacore, and ska alive, while also branding it with their own unique stamp. With politically charged lyrics, the angst, speed, and aggression of punk, the catchiness of ska, and a high level of musical complexity rare in both punk and ska, the band hopes to leave a mark with the music they create. The group wishes to not only influence and help respark the genres and local music scene, but to also promote social and political awareness.
